Install the Citrix Receiver Workspace by following these steps: Input your computer user name/password here to approve installation. Do NOT click Add Account, just click continue to finish installation.
Was finally forced to upgrade to Citrix Workspace a few days ago. Ever since then, performance is HORRIFIC. I can open a Cerner application, then immediately get the 'spinning beach ball'. Click search, wait for beach ball. Enter first term, wait for beach ball. Enter second term, wait for beach ball. Click search. Wait for beachball.
- Version 20.8.0: Performance improvements - This release addresses several issues that help to improve overall performance and stability. MacOS version support - Citrix Workspace app 2008 for Mac is the last release that supports macOS versions High Sierra (10.13) and Mojave (10.14).
- Completely uninstall Citrix Receiver: 1. Close out of all Receiver windows and right-click (Ctrl-click if you have a one-button mouse/touchpad) the Receiver icon in the top right corner. Open Finder, then browse to Applications. Drag the black Citrix Receiver icon to the Trash. Install the Citrix Workspace App: 1. Download the latest.
Have NOT had this issue in the past at all. At this point it's going to take me five times as long to do my job because Citrix is causing horrible performance issues.
Edit: I found Citrix Receiver 12.9.1 downloads, uninstalled Workspace, and installed Receiver, and no performance issues. So it's not me, my network connection, or my computer. It's Workspace.

Docker Community Edition
Docker Community Edition runs and you can start a container from the command line, so the native virtualization layer seems to be functioning, but the Kitematic application complains of missing a ‘native setup’.
But after several reboots this seems to have started functioning without an upgrade or other intervention

Citrix Receiver or Workspace on MacOS Mojave Black Screen
The upgrade seems to break Citrix Receiver. Upgrading to the latest Citrix Workspace 18.9.0.323(1809) product doesn’t fix the black screen issue.
Work-a-round: Downgrade to the latest version of Receiver https://www.citrix.com.au/downloads/citrix-receiver/mac/receiver-for-mac-latest.html and turn off auto upgrade checks to stop it nagging you to upgrade to Citrix Workspace
